KCB Rugby and Kabras Sugar will battle for the 2026 SportPesa National Sevens Circuit title when the series concludes with the 60th edition of the Christie 7s in Nairobi this weekend.
Only six points separate the two sides, with KCB leading the standings on 98 points and Kabras second on 92, setting up a winner-takes-all style finish to a closely fought circuit.

KCB made a strong start to the season at the Prinsloo 7s in July, beating Kabras in the final to claim the opening title and take an early lead in the standings.
Kabras responded at the Dala 7s a week later, while KCB could only manage fifth place. The Sugarmen defeated fellow Rai derby side Menengai Oilers in the final to claim their first title of the circuit.
The circuit took a short break in August before resuming at the Kabeberi 7s in Nairobi, where KCB successfully defended their title. Kabras endured a difficult weekend, finishing eighth and losing valuable ground in the standings.
The Sugarmen bounced back at the Driftwood 7s in Mombasa, defeating KCB in the final to claim their second title and keep the championship race alive.
The two sides met again in the final at the Embu 7s in September, with KCB edging Kabras 12-10 in a closely contested decider.
The victory gave the bankers a six-point cushion heading into the final leg, but Kabras remain within striking distance of overturning the deficit.
KCB will be seeking to hold on to the top spot and successfully defend their National Sevens Circuit crown, while Kabras must produce a strong performance in Nairobi if they are to snatch the overall title.
The Christie 7s will also mark the 60th edition of one of Kenya’s oldest and most celebrated rugby tournaments, providing a fitting stage for the decisive final chapter of this year’s circuit.
