He described the late MCA as a courageous voice for people whose concerns often went unheard, saying she served with conviction, dignity and compassion.
“Hon. Kawuki was more than a dedicated member of Jubilee Party. She was a committed public servant, a champion of democracy, equality and the rights of women,” Kenta said.
He said Kawuki had represented the aspirations of the people of Taita Taveta County with dedication and purpose, adding that her contribution to the county and the party would not be forgotten.
Her death, he said, was a loss not only to her family and friends but also to the people of Taita Taveta, the Jubilee fraternity and the wider democratic movement in Kenya.
“At a time such as this, words can hardly capture the pain of losing a colleague, a sister in service and a fellow patriot whose journey was cut tragically short,” he said.
Kenta said the party would remember Kawuki for her commitment to public service, courage and belief in the power of leadership to transform lives.
He extended condolences to her family, colleagues, supporters and residents of Taita Taveta County, urging them to draw strength from her legacy.
