Arsenal supporters in Kenya are set to paint Ruiru Sports Club red and white this week as they gather for a two-day golf tournament to celebrate the English Premier League champions’ long-awaited league title triumph.
The event, organized by Arsenal supporters, is expected to attract more than 450 golfers over two days, highlighting both the growing popularity of golf and the strength of Arsenal’s fan base in Kenya.

The celebrations will begin on Thursday, June 4, with a unique match-play competition pitting Arsenal diehards against rival golfers.
Organizers expect more than 200 amateur golfers from Nairobi and its surrounding areas to participate in what promises to be a spirited contest.
The festivities will culminate on Saturday, June 6, during the flagship Gunners Golf Day, where 250 golfers will compete for top honors while celebrating Arsenal’s Premier League title after a 22-year wait.
Participants have been encouraged to embrace the occasion by wearing red and white attire on the course, while Arsenal jerseys are expected to dominate the clubhouse and entertainment areas after play.
“This is a celebration of a dream that Arsenal fans have waited 22 years to see fulfilled. We want to create an event that brings supporters together, allows golfers to enjoy healthy competition, and allows us to celebrate this historic achievement in style,” said Golf Captain Justus Mathenge.
Organizers say the Thursday match-play contest will add extra excitement as Arsenal supporters seek bragging rights over rival fans not only on the football pitch but also on the golf course.
Beyond the football-themed celebrations, the tournament is expected to further raise the profile of Ruiru Sports Club, which has steadily grown into one of Kenya’s leading golfing destinations.
In recent years, the club has attracted major corporate events, high-profile golf competitions and social tournaments, strengthening its reputation as a preferred venue for both competitive and recreational golf.
