FKF Premier League side Shabana FC has unveiled a revamped technical bench for the 2026/27 season, headlined by the appointment of experienced Egyptian tactician Ahmed Fathi Abdalla Ibrahim as head coach.
The club has assembled a blend of local and international expertise as it seeks to strengthen its technical department ahead of the new campaign.

Ahmed Fathi arrives with an impressive résumé, having served as a long-term assistant coach at Egyptian giants Ismaily SC before taking charge of El Bank El Ahly. He also previously coached All Blacks FC in Ghana.
The CAF A Licence holder is expected to spearhead Shabana’s ambitions in the upcoming season.
Supporting him will be fellow CAF A Licence holder Hesbon Nyabinge, who joins as assistant coach after stints with Kakamega Homeboyz and the FKF Harambee Stars Under-20 team between 2018 and 2024.
Nyabinge also boasts experience with Kakamega High School and Thailand-based IDSEA CHAMPSAC.
The club has retained assistant coach Andrea Ongwae and goalkeeping coach David Juma, ensuring continuity within key areas of the technical setup.
Shabana has also strengthened its backroom staff with the appointment of Rwandan fitness, strength and conditioning coach Hatagekimana Corneille.
Holder of a FIFA Advanced Diploma in Fitness and Sports Management, Corneille brings experience from clubs including AS Kigali, Simba SC of Tanzania and South Sudan’s Jamus SC, as well as Rwanda’s Under-20 national team.
The club will continue to rely on Team Manager Elijah Sani, physiotherapist Emmanuel Juma and kit manager Absalom Aduda, all of whom have retained their roles.
Oasis Hospital will provide nutritional and medical support through a nutritionist and team doctor assigned to the club.
At youth level, Kevin Momanyi has been appointed Head Coach of the Youth Team and Development Programme, where he will oversee talent identification and player development.
Meanwhile, Justus Omete will serve as masseur and soft-tissue physiotherapist.
The new appointments signal Shabana’s intent to build a competitive squad and a strong technical foundation as the Glamour Boys prepare for the 2026/27 campaign.
