A women-led movement backing President William Ruto’s re-election bid has been launched in Nairobi under the banner “Two-Term Brigade.”
The group, which brings together young mothers from Nairobi’s 85 wards, aims to popularise the President’s development agenda across the city while highlighting achievements made by the Kenya Kwanza administration.

Speaking after a meeting with UDA Secretary-General Hassan Omar, the movement’s leadership said the government’s progress is being overshadowed by persistent criticism from the opposition.
They noted that their mission is to counter what they termed as misinformation by engaging residents directly and promoting the administration’s record.
The women, drawn from diverse communities, have organised themselves into regional clusters and plan to focus outreach efforts in areas where they believe the President’s message has not been effectively communicated.
They also called for an end to tribal-based politics, urging Kenyans to embrace national unity amid ongoing debates on dismantling ethnic political alignments.
Led by patron Liz Waithera, the group maintained that the President’s achievements have not been sufficiently publicised, attributing this to what they described as misleading narratives from political opponents.
The brigade further announced plans to roll out a nationwide recruitment drive to expand its influence.
Members said many within the movement have directly benefited from government programmes, arguing that their experiences reflect the administration’s commitment to transforming livelihoods.
