Each one with his business and journey, people are catching flights, literally,

Some arriving, after hours airborne, others are connecting, passengers and their kin

Luggages, plane cargo, are moving fast. As some arrive, others are leaving

The detecting machines, the sniffer dogs, strategically positioned, the guards, both

Armed and private agents, well positioned to contain any harm, or illegality

The fire extinguishers well placed on the walls, the fire engines, the fire fighters, never asleep

Its usually bright, traffic in the air controlled, groundsmen directing planes in place

Travelers each minding his business, some with their kin to see them off, others have

come to receive their

But at the airport, it’s usually tears all over, emotional sendoffs and re-unions

With unspoken words freely flowing, the long gone loved ones landing, those going out

being see-off, with no physical footprints to trace those flying out,

But a picture can trace memories, the pause is brief though, very brief

Because, time is the master, the real determinant of activities, everything moves fast,

Planes landing on time, others taking off on time, Time is the ruler,

The definite, time is part of the hardware, at the airport,

one minute lost is a flight missed, a journey cancelled
