Many Kenyans experienced challenges as they sought to access the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results for the year 2024 online.

The results had been posted on a website that was shared soon after Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Education, Julius Ogamba officially released them.
This time, KNEC did not provide an option for receiving the results via Short Message Services (SMS).
This was seen as a blow to mobile phone service providers who used to rake millions of shillings from the option.
The telecommunication companies charged as high as Ksh.25 per SMS.
On Thursday, Kenyans complained online that they were experiencing challenges accessing last year’s results due to heavy traffic to the site for the better part of Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Ogamba said that 1,693 candidates obtained an overall Grade A in the exams.
246,391 candidates had C+ and above.
All those were qualified for direct university admission.
Those who obtained C- and above were 476,889.
Over 946 candidates faced the exam.
Out of those, 605, 774 scored D+ and below.
The results of 2,828 candidates were withheld due to exam irregularities.
