PUBG MOBILE has rolled out its highly anticipated Version 4.4 Update, introducing mythology inspired battlegrounds, enhanced combat abilities, and upgraded squad features aimed at delivering a more immersive experience for players in Kenya.

The latest update, which will run until July 7, 2026, introduces Hero’s Crown, a themed gameplay mode inspired by ancient Greek mythology.

Popular maps including Erangel, Livik, and Rondo have been transformed with redesigned combat zones such as Yasnaya Polyana, Ruins, Ferry Pier, and Mylta, giving players fresh tactical environments to explore.

Marketing Manager Jeff Tang said at the center of the new mode is the Crown’s Abode, a floating battleground where teams battle for survival while facing Helios, a powerful centaur boss equipped with unique combat abilities.

Players will also navigate a series of mythological-themed trials focused on speed, survival, coordination, and aerial maneuvering, alongside Gryphon mini-games that reward performance and exploration.

“Players can now use the Heart of Fury dash ability for quick movement during combat, deploy the Battle Flag to strengthen nearby teammates, and utilize Wax Wings for aerial movement across the map,” Tang said.

He further noted a new evolving weapon, the Laurel M1 Garand, also debuts in the update, changing visually as players advance during matches.

In another unique feature, players who defeat Helios can temporarily recruit him as an ally to assist in combat and support missions.

According to the marketing director Classic Mode has also received major enhancements, including the introduction of the Roadster convertible vehicle equipped with turbo boost capabilities.

“The Panzerfaust and JS9 weapons will now appear more frequently across maps, while several weapon balancing adjustments have been implemented to improve combat consistency,” he added.

The Livik map now features a redesigned Spawn Island aimed at improving pre-match interaction and helping squads better coordinate before entering battle.

PUBG MOBILE also introduced the Flash Crew system, allowing players to team up with compatible gamers, build Rapport, and unlock shared rewards through stronger squad cooperation.

The World of Wonder feature has also been upgraded with a standalone lobby, the ability to join matches mid-game, and improved creator tools designed to simplify custom map creation and discovery.

Seasonal content equally expanded with Metro Royale Chapter 32 introducing a Helios-themed PvE challenge, while Season 30 adds Ranked Arena improvements, Weekend Joy events, and the return of the fan-favorite Dinoground mode.

Tang also noted home Mode has also been updated with the Starfall Sanctuary Home Style, Crew Celebration gameplay, Parking Lot improvements, and enhanced competitive features.
