Uriri MP Mark Nyamita has pledged to accelerate development projects across the constituency after an Infotrak survey ranked him the best-performing MP in the Nyanza region, with a 71 per cent approval rating.

Nyamita said the survey reflects residents’ appreciation of the impact of projects funded through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF).

He noted that investments in education, school infrastructure, bursaries for needy students, security and other community initiatives have significantly improved livelihoods across the constituency.

The legislator said prudent management of public resources has remained a cornerstone of his leadership, adding that accountability and transparency will continue to guide the implementation of development programmes.

He pledged to ensure that every shilling allocated to Uriri Constituency is utilised effectively and delivers tangible benefits to residents.

Nyamita also said his office will maintain close engagement with residents to identify priority needs and ensure development projects are distributed equitably across all parts of the constituency.

Commenting on the next General Election, the MP said his focus remains on service delivery rather than early political campaigns.

He said he is committed to completing his development agenda and allowing residents to assess his leadership based on his record, achievements and fulfilment of campaign promises.
