Leaders and advocates for justice and equality in Kisii County have condemned all forms of violence against any human being.
This includes Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), and any acts of aggression or abuse against individuals.

“Violence, in any form, is not only a violation of human rights but also a threat to the peace and harmony we strive to build in our community,” said Roselyne Nyakona David, who is the County GBV prevention and response coordinator.
She spoke during a peaceful match in Kisii Town to mark the start of the 16 days of activism against GBV.
Gusii Scribes Welfare, which is the mother of Kisii Press Club is also passionate about ending GBV not only in Kisii but Kenya and the world.
“As a County, we will not tolerate such acts, and we are committed to working with all stakeholders to ensure that perpetrators are held accountable and survivors are supported with dignity and care,” she said.
She urged members of the community to stand united in this fight.
“Report incidents of violence to the appropriate authorities, support those affected, and join us in creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful society,” she said.
“Together, we can break the cycle of violence and pave the way for a brighter future for all.”
To further amplify the voice, members of society groups were asked to join in the sensitization drive.
“This campaign is a call to action for everyone to play their part in ending violence and building a safer community for all,” Nyakona said.
“We do not condone violence. We stand for justice, equality, and peace.”
