The Kisii outlet marks another milestone in Java’s journey toward reaching the 100-store mark, coinciding with the brand’s 25th anniversary.
This expansion is part of a regional growth strategy aimed at bringing Java’s unique dining promise closer to communities across East Africa.
Speaking during the official launch, Java House Chief Executive Officer Priscilla Gathungu reaffirmed the brand’s unwavering commitment to delivering a consistently delightful experience rooted in quality, flexibility, and customer satisfaction.
“We are glad to open our first branch in Kisii County, which allows us to serve even more people. Kisii is a strategic location for us because it is home to a substantial population, which is discerning and demanding a quality and value offering. Kisii is also a strategic transit town hosting people moving across the Western and Nyanza regions,” she noted.
Gathungu revealed that the branch had already been running quietly for a few weeks, and the community’s response had been “overwhelmingly positive.”
She added, “We are confident that Java will quickly become a core part of the community—not only by providing a space for people to have their meetings, dates, and family moments, but also by creating jobs for the locals.”
Cyrus Nyabicha, Kisii County Executive Committee Member for Trade, Tourism, Industry and Marketing, commended Java House for setting up in Kisii, describing it as a welcome addition to the town’s business landscape.
He called on other investors to follow suit, positioning Kisii as an increasingly attractive hub for strategic commercial growth.
