Egerton University has reinforced own commitment to internationalizing its academic programs.
This initiative became clearer as the University actively participated in the Education Africa Fair, held at Sarit Centre, Westlands, Nairobi.

The event, which brought together higher education institutions from across Africa and beyond, provided a platform for engaging with prospective students, fostering academic collaborations, and expanding international mobility opportunities.
Representing Egerton University at the fair were Prof. Nzula Kitaka, Director of Marketing and Resource Mobilization; Prof. Auka, Director of International Linkages and Collaborations; and Susan Achieng Mbanda-Obura.
They underscored the university’s dedication to attracting both local and international students while strengthening academic networks.
As part of the initiative, Egerton University engaged in discussions with Dr. Beatrice Chirwa, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, and Dr. Leah Nyimbili from Chalimbana University, Zambia, focusing on strategies for internationalizing students from both public and private schools in the region.
Speaking at the fair, Prof. Kitaka emphasized that Egerton University is committed to expanding its global footprints through international collaborations.
“We are strengthening academic collaboration, enhancing student recruitment, and promoting cultural exchange to position Egerton as a competitive player in higher education,” she noted.
The Education Africa Fair served as a key opportunity for the University to showcase its diverse academic programs, research opportunities, and student exchange initiatives.
It also allowed for networking with potential academic partners to drive future joint programs and research collaborations.
With its ongoing commitment to internationalization, Egerton University continues to position itself as a top destination for students seeking world-class education and cross-cultural learning experiences.
