Global integrated services company Alliad has launched the first season of its Empowering Africa podcast, focusing on practical solutions to Africa’s challenges and ways to turn the continent’s potential into sustainable, inclusive growth.
The company, which provides engineering, construction, logistics, facilities and support services launched the podcast following the conclusion of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81).

Alliad positioned the initiative as part of its strategic shift from “doing business in Africa” to “doing business with Africa.”
Already, the company has spread its operations to Kenya, Uganda, Côte d’Ivoire, Rwanda, Tanzania, Angola and Cameroon, and is eyeing expansion into Ghana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Benin, Togo and Guinea-Conakry.
Alliad Global Chief Executive Officer Rashad Sinokrot said the podcast would provide a platform for African and global leaders to discuss practical ways of unlocking the continent’s potential.
“Africa’s transformation will depend on our ability to move from ambition to execution, building the infrastructure, businesses and partnerships needed to create lasting value,” Sinokrot said.
He said the podcast would give people working to transform the continent an opportunity to share their experiences while ensuring African voices are heard in global discussions about the continent’s future.
“Through the podcast, we hope to explore how Africa can translate its potential into sustainable and inclusive growth,” he said.
The series builds on discussions around the UNGA81 theme, “Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation, A United Nations That Delivers for All,” and will examine issues considered critical to Africa’s economic and social development.
These include infrastructure, healthcare, supply chains, digital innovation, investment and climate resilience.
Each episode will be hosted by a different senior Alliad executive, bringing company leadership into conversations with business leaders, policymakers and other figures involved in shaping Africa’s future.
Season One features conversations with a range of African changemakers, including AFEX Group Chief Executive Officer Ayodeji Balogun, who discusses strengthening African supply chains.
Other guests include Allison Worldwide Africa Managing Director Claudine Moore, who focuses on Africa’s investment narrative; Asante Africa Foundation CEO Geoffrey Kasangaki, who discusses youth leadership; and ENDIP International’s Benjamin Ovio, who explores ways of building talent pipelines for the continent’s future workforce.
The choice of topics comes at a time when African countries are seeking to strengthen intra-African trade, attract investment, create jobs for a growing young population and build resilience against economic and climate-related shocks.
For Kenya, where digital innovation, infrastructure, investment and youth employment remain key development priorities, the discussions could provide a platform for sharing experiences and perspectives from across the continent.
Alliad said the podcast is intended to go beyond conversations about Africa’s potential by focusing on the partnerships, businesses and infrastructure needed to translate that potential into tangible outcomes.
The company’s expanding African footprint is expected to provide a wider platform for these discussions as it strengthens its presence in existing markets while exploring opportunities in additional countries.
The Empowering Africa podcast is part of Alliad’s broader effort to position its business activities around partnerships with African markets and stakeholders rather than simply operating within them.
