The completion and opening of the Dr Orioki Joyce Auditorium at Nyabururu Girls’ School-Kisii has brought unmatched excitement to stakeholders.
The 3,000 capacity auditorium was officially opened by Cabinet Secretary (CS) in charge of Education, Migos Ogamba on Saturday.

Other key leaders including Solicitor General (SG) Shadrack Mose, Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka and Kisii County MP, Doris Aburi attended the event.
The auditorium is one if its kind in secondary schools in the region.
It is now regarded as a game-changer, bringing with it a wave of opportunities for students, teachers, and the community.
This versatile space will serve as a hub for creativity, talent development, and academic excellence, according to the vision bearers.
It will host inspiring debates and drama performances, motivational talks and school assemblies.
It will also provide a professional setting for students to refine their public speaking skills, nurture artistic talents, and engage in meaningful discussions.
Beyond academics, the auditorium will foster a sense of unity, offering a venue for celebrations, prize-giving ceremonies, and cultural events.
The facility is set to elevate the status of the national school, attracting more opportunities for partnerships, guest speakers, and extracurricular programs that can enrich students’ holistic development.
The facility has been given the name of the institution’s chief principal, Joyce Orioki due to her strategic and visionary leadership.
Nyabururu and Kisii School are the only national schools in Kisii County.
