Governor Amos Nyaribo said the training will focus on several areas, including Artificial Intelligence, graphics design, prompt engineering, cybersecurity, virtual assistance, digital marketing and web development.
“My Administration is focused on equipping our youth with professional digital skills to enable them navigate and exploit the potential in the expanding tech-driven job market,” he said.
The programme comes as digital skills continue to gain importance across various sectors, with businesses and organisations increasingly relying on technology for communication, marketing, service delivery and other operations.
Through the training, participants will have an opportunity to build skills that can be applied both locally and in the growing online work space.
Nyaribo has urged young people interested in the programme to take advantage of the latest intake and enrol for the sixth cohort.
He said the initiative is part of its broader effort to prepare young people to participate more effectively in the digital economy.
Previous cohorts have already trained more than 100 young people in digital skills, with 57 graduates from the third and fourth cohorts completing courses in areas such as graphics design, cybersecurity, web development, virtual assistance and prompt engineering
The Governor encouraged eligible young people to apply and benefit from the training.
