Kenya has qualified for the FIFAe Continental Championship after securing a top-eight finish in the FIFAe Nations League Africa region.
The Kenyan team earned its place at the continental finals following a spirited campaign in Group C, where it recovered from an opening defeat to advance to the knockout stages and ultimately seal qualification.

Kenya began its campaign with a narrow 2-1 loss to eventual group winners Senegal before fighting back to earn a 2-2 draw against Tanzania.
The team then produced a commanding display to defeat Ivory Coast 3-1, finishing second in the group behind Senegal.
In the knockout rounds, Kenya delivered one of its best performances of the tournament, upsetting higher-ranked Libya 2-0 to book a place in the next stage and confirm qualification for the continental championship.
The journey came to an end with a 2-0 defeat to Ghana, but the result did little to dampen celebrations as Kenya had already secured its ticket to the prestigious African finals.
Representing the country on the virtual pitch in the 2v2 eFootball™ Console competition were 19-year-old Daniel Kibiwott and 17-year-old Elvis Kibet, guided by coach Timothy Kiarie.
“Kenya has booked its place at the FIFAe Continental Championship ft eFootball™ Console after securing a top 8 finish in the FIFAe Nations League, Africa region,” the Esports Kenya Federation said in a statement.
The FIFAe Continental Championship will take place in Casablanca, Morocco, from August 19 to 22 and will feature Africa’s top eight nations: hosts Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Madagascar, Libya, Ghana, Senegal and Kenya.
“The top two finishers in Casablanca will earn qualification to the FIFAe World Cup 2026 in Riyadh,” the federation added.
The team’s preparations were facilitated through a partnership between the Esports Kenya Federation (ESKF) and the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), underscoring the growing collaboration aimed at developing esports talent in the country.
