In the jungle,
each one is closely watched by the other.
The enemy is anyone nearby.
Food is any animal that can be hunted.
No one spares another.
The hunted feeds well, searching for food by every means,
growing fat, building muscle to fend off predators.
The hunted is ever cautious.

The hunter is never full—insatiable; every moment is hunting time.
The hunter lives as though a king,
unaware that an animal in the next hideout is watching.
There are few friends in the jungle’s food chain.
A close friend can turn on you when hunger strikes.
The chain of predation is never linear;
no favourite meal is always available.
No predator is supreme.
No creature commands lasting respect.
Today’s hunter may become tomorrow’s prey,
for every watcher is also being watched.
